I only got as far as breakfast (highly important) in my last blog, so now I'm going to tell you all about the marvelous day we had in Berlin. We attend the
Bread & Butter trade show twice a year and its a fab place to meet up with existing suppliers and see the new collections. It's also a fab opportunity to spot brand new exciting brands. Always a great source of inspiration and what a show they put on this year! Set in the old (discussed)
Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, the venue still has all it's original features intact. All the old signage, baggage conveyor belt and check in desks are all there and this time the theme was the Art Deco 20's.
After we had checked in with our passports and special Bread & Butter boarding passes we zig-zagged our way through the numerous stands and caught up with
Amplified,
Chunk,
Zound Industries,
Chaser LA and a ton of other brands.
The design expertise which goes into the stands is often pretty astounding, I got pretty snap happy and picked out my fave features...
There was also a whole mountain of new and exciting brands showing, with some really beautiful stands, these were a fab insight into what the high street will be offering this Spring Summer.
The next visit is scheduled for July, I'm looking forward to lots of yummy knits and cosy layering pieces... x
